OBJECTIVE: To diagnose the quality of the Information, Training, and Updating Program (ICAF) of the DIGED, for teachers, students, and the academic community of USAC. METHOD: A mixed-method study with a descriptive scope was conducted. A survey was carried out using the Google Forms digital tool with open-ended questions and the Likert scale methodology, which was answered by the participants of the ICAF program at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala. RESULTS: The ICAF program implemented by the General Directorate of Teaching was diagnosed in detail through a mixed-method survey. The survey evaluated the topics of interest in terms of content variables and was directed at teachers, students, professionals, and other interested parties at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, who provided ratings and significant qualitative comments, diagnosing the quality of the program. CONCLUSION: The ICAF program of the General Directorate of Teaching at USAC has shown a positive impact, with over 90% satisfaction among participants, who recommend the program for its quality in teacher and professional training. This support highlights the program's effectiveness, although it is crucial to address the suggestions for improvement to ensure its continuity and strengthening in the future.
