OBJECTIVE: To determine the ways in which gamification can be applied to ensure learning through a bibliographic review of articles published from 2023 to the present. METHOD: A review of relevant academic literature was conducted, with an emphasis on higher education studies. Priority was given to the analysis of research that explored the integration of game elements into the learning process. RESULTS: Gamification shows significant potential to improve student interest, motivation, and comprehension. Several studies have reported increased engagement and academic performance following the implementation of gamified strategies. However, effectiveness depends on careful pedagogical design and alignment with learning objectives. A trend toward the use of virtual games and applications such as Kahoot!, TomiDigital, among others, was identified. CONCLUSION: Gamification is presented as a promising strategy for learning.
